On Tuesday morning, the Assistant Undersecretary for Wadi and Sahrah directorates affairs in Hadhramaut governorate, Mr. Abdulillah Tamimi, launched the activities of providing a school bag and cash sponsoring (educational, health, living), as part of the activities of the orphans sponsorship project and the economic empowerment of their families in its second phase in conjunction with the World Education Day, through the implementing partner Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works. (YDH).

74 school bags were distributed that will contribute to completing the educational stage, and cash sponsorships were provided to 74 orphan beneficiaries. As the number of beneficiary families reached 24 families.

Undersecretary Al-Tamimi thanked the friends in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their efforts made through its humanitarian arm, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) in Hadhramaut governorate. We renew our thanks for all the generous support they provide in all humanitarian and relief fields throughout the difficult living conditions that the country is experiencing.

As he stressed on the beneficiary families to seize the opportunity by paying attention to the cash sponsorships that were provided, as well as the aspect of empowerment in various fields, and to be among the productive families in society so that they can fulfill their needs for the necessities of life.

The General Director of the Office of Education in Seiyun directorate, Mr. Khaled Ballfas, stressed on the importance of the orphan sponsorship and economic empowerment project, which will contribute to helping the orphan students and completing their education without any other difficulties.

Mukhtar Bamaibed, Director of Yamany Foundation office in Hadhramaut, said that the project to sponsor orphans and economic empowerment of their families in its second phase seeks to empower 50 families who support orphans in Hadhramaut governorate, with a total of 150 orphans, including 24 families and 74 orphans in Wadi Hadhramaut, where the project includes various activities. Including cash sponsorship (educational, living and health) for orphans targeted by the project, as well as training a family member to acquire skills in one of the basic professions.
