Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works (YDH) is an independent, non-profit civil society Foundation concerned with development work and humanitarian interventions, established in 2013, and seeks to alleviate human suffering and provide humanitarian and development services in the Republic of Yemen.

“Through its mission, Yamany Foundation seeks to protect the lives of those affected during humanitarian emergencies and crises, to contribute actively with humanitarian partners to the empowerment of affected communities, to alleviate poverty and to promote sense of self-sufficiency at the individual, family and community levels”.

Objectives

 

1- Building and develop positive relations with donors and international and local organizations, with the aim of strengthening means of partnership, coordinating and unifying humanitarian efforts to serve the affected communities.

2- Promoting equal opportunities between sexes, empowering women and vulnerable and marginalized groups, and developing the capacities of productive families culturally, socially, economically, educationally and healthily, in proportion to their abilities and scientific and practical skills, in order to promote sense of self-sufficiency.

3- Adopting and implementing humanitarian response programmes to protect the lives of those affected during humanitarian emergencies and crises and contribute to meet the necessary needs of all those affected in the Foundation’s work areas.

4- Adopting development programs with a sustainable impact, to contribute to alleviating poverty and its negative effects on the lives of those affected in the short and long term.

5- Promoting long-term strategic planning to advance sustainable development, empower communities and eradicate poverty.
