Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works (YDH) is an independent, non-profit civil society Foundation concerned with development work and humanitarian interventions, established in 2013, and seeks to alleviate human suffering and provide humanitarian and development services in the Republic of Yemen.

Mission

Through its mission, YDH seeks to build inclusive and sustainable societies capable of coping with crises and achieving long-term development by providing effective humanitarian programs and implementing sustainable development initiatives that contribute to enhancing the well-being and dignity of individuals, especially the most vulnerable groups such as women, children, and people with disabilities, thereby contributing to poverty reduction and promoting self-sufficiency.

Objectives

   General Objectives:

·       Objective I: Contribute to meeting the basic needs of individuals and families affected by crises and conflicts, especially the most vulnerable groups, such as children, women, and people with disabilities, by providing necessary life-saving assistance and services effectively and in a timely manner.

·       Objective II: Contribute to poverty reduction and enhance the self-sufficiency of the most vulnerable groups through the implementation of Economic Empowerment Initiatives, support for livelihood projects, technical and professional training, and the development of productive assets of needy families, which contributes to improving income levels, creating sustainable employment opportunities for affected families, and improving their living and economic conditions.

·       Objective III: Promote equality and social justice by improving the inclusion of women, marginalized groups, and people with disabilities, enhancing their active participation in economic, social, and community activities, and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.

·       Objective IV: Strengthen the capacity of local communities to respond to crises by providing development and humanitarian support, developing local resources, and building the capacities of individuals and community institutions to ensure long-term sustainability.
