In conjunction with the Word Day of Education.. King Salman Relief Center (KSRelief) carries out the activities of distributing the school bag and handing out cash sponsorships to orphans in Marib and Al- Al-Jawf governorates*

King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works (KSRelief) carried out this Thursday morning in Marib governorate two activities to provide a school bag and educational, living and health sponsorships as part of the activities of the orphans ‘ sponsorship project and the economic empowerment of their families, the second phase, in conjunction with the World Education Day, through the implementing partner Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works (YDH).

On the first day, 352 school bags were distributed, which will contribute to the completion of the educational stage, and cash sponsorships to 352 beneficiaries of orphans, and the number of beneficiaries from families reached 120 families.

The Deputy Minister of Education, Mr. Ali al-Abab, praised the role of King Salman Center (KSRelief) and its interest in the educational process in light of the difficult conditions of Yemeni citizens and students, especially orphans.

The Undersecretary of Marib governorate, Abdo Rabbo Miftah, stressed the keenness of King Salman Center (KSRelief) in various fields and the role the of Yamany Foundation (YDH) in its implementation of projects and its commitment to all humanitarian standards and the criteria of choosing the neediest families from orphans.

Mohammed Dammaj, Director of the Office of the governor of Al-Jawf governorate, said that “we are trying to narrow the distances between Al-Jawf governorate and King Salman Center (KSRelief) because the governorate suffers and lacks all services, and we hope that all civil society organizations will consider us in Al-Jawf governorate”.

For his part, Dr. Radwan Al-dawasi, Director of Yamany Foundation office in Marib governorate, confirmed that the orphan sponsorship and economic empowerment project is in its second phase and during the project phase, training and empowerment of families will be provided according to the project’s time plan.

The launching was attended by the Director of King Salman center (KSRelief) office in Marib, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-saiari, his Deputy, Mr. Mubarak Al-Qahtani, and the General Directors of the Social Affairs and Labor Offices in Marib and Al-Jawf governorates.

The project funded by the center aims to provide school bags (stationery and notebooks) for 1,300 orphans enrolled in the educational process, and hand them educational, living and health sponsorship.
