King Salman Center (KSRelief) carried out on Wednesday evening in Hadhramaut governorate in the city of Mukalla the activities of providing a school bag and handing over educational, living and health sponsorships as part of the activities of the orphans ‘ sponsorship project and the economic empowerment of their families, the second phase, coinciding with the World Education Day, through the implementing partner Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works.
On the first day, 76 school bags were distributed on the Hadhramaut coast, which will contribute to completing the educational stage, and cash sponsorships were delivered to 76 orphan beneficiaries.
The deputy of Hadhramaut governorate, Hassan Al-Jilani, confirmed that the local authority in Hadhramaut pays attention to this group in light of the difficult living conditions that the country is going through.
The Undersecretary praised the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, King Salman Center (KSRelief, these humanitarian interventions in various fields, which would alleviate the suffering of society and reduce the deterioration of living conditions, and one of the most prominent interventions is the orphan’s sponsorship project and the economic empowerment of their families.
For his part, Mr. Mukhtar Saleh, Director of the Office of Yamany Foundation (YDH) in Hadhramaut, confirmed that the project of sponsoring orphans and the economic empowerment of their families is in its second phase
It seeks to empower 50 families supporting orphans in Hadhramaut Governorate with a total of 150 orphans, as the project includes various activities, iIncluding monetary sponsorship (educational, living and health) for orphans targeted by the project, as well as training a family member to acquire skills in one of the basic professions.
The project funded by the center aims to provide school bags (stationery tools and notebooks) for 1,300 orphans enrolled in the educational process, and hand them educational, living and health sponsorship.
