On Monday morning in Aden governorate, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) launched the activities of providing school bags and delivering educational, living and health guarantees in eight Yemeni governorates as part of the activities of the orphans ‘ sponsorship project and the economic empowerment of their families, the second phase, in conjunction with the World Education Day, through the implementing partner Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works (YDH).
“The support provided by King Salman Center (KSRelief) contributes to encouraging orphans to pursue the education while the center’s other projects in the context of community support contribute to alleviating many of the suffering of those in need” said Saleh Mahmoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, explaining the keenness of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor to provide care and attention to orphans and other vulnerable social groups through joint coordination with a number of supporting entities.
” Through this support, we aim to encourage orphaned students to continue the educational process to complete the academic stages, as education is the basis for advancement in the construction and development process, noting that the project comes within the framework of the second phase after the implementation of the first phase last year, recognizing the impact of the center’s tangible support for the group of orphans in the targeted Yemeni governorates” said Mr. Saleh Al-Thaibani, Director of King Salman Center (KSRelief) branch
Sheikh Jamal BaLfakih, Senior Relief Coordinator and Adviser to the Ministry of Local Administration, expressed his thanks and gratitude to King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) for its fruitful efforts in all humanitarian fields, including its support and funding for this project, which concerns an important group of society, namely orphans and their families.
For his part, Dr. Anas Saif, the Programs and Projects Director of at Yamany Foundation, confirmed that this project comes due to the interest and keenness of the friends in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through their humanitarian arm, King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works. The implementation of activities has been ongoing throughout the past year 2023. This activity comes within a series of multiple activities that contribute to the sponsorship of the orphans and the empowerment of one of the members of his/her family economically through training them in different fields and then enabling them with the necessary tools for their income-generating project.
The Centre’s funded project is working to provide school bags (stationery tools and notebooks) to 1,300 male and female orphans enrolled in the educational process, and to deliver them with educational, living and health care.
