Yamany Foundation (YDH) was honored with a shield and a certificate of excellence at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo Egypt.
Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works participated in the honoring event, which was held this morning, Thursday, 24th of October at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo Egypt, among 30 Arab institutions that won Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Award in its third cycle for the best charity performance at the Arab world level.
The event was introduced by a number of speeches, including the speech of Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Humanitarian Development delivered by Dr. Issa Hassan Al-Ansari, Secretary General of Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Humanitarian Development, where he pointed out that the award created an opportunity to compete at the level of the Arab world as he considers it a practical message of honorable models for the institutions that were honored. _“This honor today is not only for the winning institutions but for those who believe in humanity and the values of charity work”_ he said.
Dr. Nasser Al-Qahtani, Secretary General of the Arab Organization for Administrative Development at the League of Arab States, delivered a speech in which he stressed that the award is to encourage competition between institutions that seek the satisfaction of beneficiaries and the confidence of donors.
As He congratulated the institutions with this honor, calling for further improvement and development of performance.
The speeches concluded with a speech delivered by Dr. Mohammed bin Sa’ad al-Mohareb, Director General of Insan, the Charitable Association for the Care of Orphans in Riyadh, on their behalf, in which he thanked the Mohammed bin Fahd Foundation for Humanitarian Development and the organizer of the event for honoring the institutions. Called on all institutions to intensify their efforts, improve charitable performance and exchange experiences and humanitarian experiences in this meeting.
In a statement to Mr. Ahmed Al-Akwa’a, Head of Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works, he expressed his happiness with this honor and thanked the organizers of this award for honoring the active institutions in the humanitarian field and effective charitable performance, stressing the need to intensify efforts and joint coordination between all active and working institutions in the humanitarian field in order to achieve more excellence in charitable performance and its sustainability.
The award aims to provide opportunities for charitable and humanitarian association to reach the best performance at the level of the Arab world.
188 charitable institutions were nominated for the award out of 300 institutions from all over the Arab countries, which varied between large (51), medium (70) and small (67) institutions, representing 17 countries, and 30 winning institutions were selected, distributed equally among the three categories.
The Foundation was represented on this occasion by the Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Mr. Ahmed Al-Akwa’a, and the Vice CEO of the Foundation, Mr. Mohammed Darman
