With the Secretary-General of the Local Council in Al-Mahra Governorate, Mr. Salem Nimer, Assistant Director of King Salman Center (KSRelief) in Al-Mahra, Mr. Ali Al-Mutairi, and Relief Coordinator at the Center, Mr. Salem Al-Saqqaf, today checked and followed up on the progress of the training process (capacity building and livelihoods), which comes within the Orphan Sponsorship and Economic Empowerment Project (second phase), implemented by Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works (YDH).
The leadership of King Salman Center (KSRelief) and the Secretary-General of the Local Council in Al-Mahra praised the level of progress in the training, from which benefits 50 families of orphans in the governorate.
Noted that Yamany Foundation (YDH), with funding from King Salman Center (KSRelief), is implementing several training programs for women to support and empower them in the labor market, within the project of sponsoring orphans and single-headed families.
This visit coincides with International Women’s Day.
This training includes a wide range of fields, including mobile maintenance, electricity, solar energy, sweets and hairdressing, henna art, sewing, embroidery, and home-made accessories.
These training programs will contribute to supporting and empowering 440 families who lost their breadwinners in eight Yemeni governorates, (Aden, Lahij, Taiz, Hadramout, Marib, Al-Jawf, Al-Mahra, and Al-Hudaydah), which comes as part of the efforts of King Salman Center (KSRelief) to support development projects for needy families and enhance their economic stability.
