King Salman Center (KSRelief) holds a forum on the occasion of Arab Orphan Week.

King Salman Humanitarian Aid & Relief Center (KSRelief) held today in the temporary capital Aden, through its implementing partner Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Work (YDH), a forum on the occasion of the Arab Orphan Week.

The forum, which is held within the project of Sponsoring Orphans and Economic Empowerment of their Families, that targeting the governorates of Aden, Lahij, and Abyan, discussed a number of topics about the lives of orphans, moderated by the Associate Professor at the University of Aden, Dr. Radhya Yaslam, as well as how to train and empower families of orphans economically moderated by the Project Officer of Yamany Foundation Mohammed Radman

At the forum, the Director of the Office of Social Affairs and Labor in Lahij Governorate, Saeb Abdulaziz, and the General Coordinator of the Higher Committee for Relief, Jamal Balfaqih, stressed the importance of holding such forum that talk about the lives of orphans and how to educate and support them by teaching them professions and crafts through which their families can support them, praising the King Salman Center\’s interventions in the relief and humanitarian field.

For his part, the Projects Manager of Yamany Foundation (YDH), Anas Seif, emphasized that the Foundation seeks through the symposium to mobilize support and advocacy for orphans and to raise the community\’s awareness about their rights, and the need to play its part towards them.

The forum was attended by a number of representatives of civil society organizations and the orphansfamilies.
