Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works has signed a joint cooperation agreement with King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) to implement a project aimed at improving water services at Marib General Hospital. The project seeks to ensure the provision of safe and sustainable water services within the hospital and to enhance the efficiency of the water infrastructure to meet the needs of patients, staff, and healthcare facilities.
Under the agreement, a package of integrated technical interventions will be implemented, including:
– Rehabilitation of the existing 120-meter-deep well, equipping it with a modern submersible pump to increase productivity, connecting it to a solar power system and a complete water supply network from the well to the storage tank, along with maintenance of the pump room.
– Drilling of a new 180-meter-deep well, installation of a solar power system for its operation, and construction of a pump room with all necessary components.
– Construction of a new elevated water tank with a capacity of 50 cubic meters, connected to an integrated water network linking the well, the tank, and the hospital.
– Rehabilitation and reactivation of the existing elevated water tank.
– Establishment of a Reverse Osmosis (RO) desalination plant with a production capacity of 20,000 liters per hour to ensure a continuous supply of safe drinking water that meets health standards.
