Yamany and Nabdh Al-Hayat Foundations Organize a Workshop on Combating Violence Against Women

 

As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Work , in collaboration with the Nabdh Al-Hayat Charitable Development Foundation, organized a workshop titled “Combating Violence Against Women”. The event was held in coordination with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Cluster.

The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Mohammed Darman, Deputy Chairman of Yamany Foundation, who welcomed the attendees and emphasized the institution’s significant role in supporting and empowering women through various developmental and educational initiatives.

The workshop addressed several key topics, including:
Forms, causes, and impacts of violence against women on individuals and society.
Challenges women face in addressing and coping with violence.
Mechanisms for networking and enhancing collaboration among stakeholders to support women’s issues.

The workshop concluded with a series of recommendations aimed at raising community awareness about the dangers of violence against women and strengthening collective efforts to combat it. The event was attended by numerous organizations and stakeholders, who praised its importance in improving women’s status and supporting their rights.
