*King Salman Center (KSRelief) Provides Tools for Professions and income-generating Projects in Taiz Governorate*

Within The Project of Sponsoring Orphans and Economic Empowerment of their Families
Through its implementing partner Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works (YDH), King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), provided 50 economic empowerment bags to beneficiaries of Orphan families this morning in Taiz governorate.

During the distribution event, the Director of the Social Affairs and Labor office in Taiz governorate, Mr. Abdo Ali, states this qualitative project that will have a great impact protecting our orphans and their families from diaspora and loss.

As he added that this project will qualify them integrating into the labor market and will enhance the families’ economy and the local market economy of the governorate.

For his part, Mr. Abdulraqib Al-Sharif, Coordinator of the orphan sponsorship and economic empowerment project in the governorate, confirmed that economic empowerment projects were distributed in the fields of mobile maintenance, hairdressing, incense and perfume making, sweet and pastry making, henna art, electrical extension, solar energy systems, sewing and embroidery and home-made accessories.

The project aims to sponsor 1,300 male and female of orphans directly from orphans’ families in eight Yemeni governorates (Aden, Lahij, Marib, Al-Mahra, Hadhramaut, Al Hudaydah, Taiz and Al-Jawf) for a year, through which it contributes to creat sustainable employment opportunities for families that have lost their breadwinner and turning them into productive families.

It is worth mentioning that the project included training and empowering these families in small projects management and develop their capacity in livelihood projects before provied them the projects and its oprational tools.
