Through its implementing partner, Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works (YDH), King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief), provided income-generating projects to single-headed in Hadhramaut governorate, Mukalla Directorate.
On Sunday, June 9th, the center provided over 26 income-generating projects within the orphans ‘ sponsorship and economic empowerment project, phase II.
“Everyone knows the importance of this project in our lives, especially the segment of orphans and their single-headed, and everyone knows the economic situation in our country, which we consider to be a very difficult situation for the Yemeni citizen, and the positive stand of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia beside their brothers in Yemen in all fields, especially the relief aspect, and we thank King Salman Center (KSRelief) for their constant standing with us and will remain with us until Yemen recovers, and thanks to King Salman and his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman”. The Undersecretary of Hadhramaut governorate for Technical Affairs, Eng. Ameen Barzik, said.
Sami Al-Nahdi, Director of the Labor Market and Private Sector Department at the Office of Technical Education and Technical Training in Hadhramaut Coast, pointed out that this project and this empowerment has the significant role in raising the national economy to move the wheel of development and the local product. As he sent a message to the beneficiary families to take advantage of this empowerment and to see them in the labor market in the best practices.
For his part, the Director of the Hadhramaut Office at Yamany Foundation (YDH), Mr. Mukhtar Bamaibid, said that 50 families have been trained in Hadhramaut Al-Sahel and Al-Wadi, and these bags will have a great impact on the lives of the beneficiaries, and this project comes with the support of the brother of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief).
The project aims to sponsor 1,300 male and females of orphans directly from orphan families in eight Yemeni governorates (Aden, Lahj, Marib, Al-Mahra, Hadhramaut, Al-Hudaydah, Taiz and Al-Jawf) for a whole year, through which it contributes to creating sustainable job opportunities for families who have lost their breadwinner and turning them into productive families.
It is worth mentioning that the project included training and empowering 440 members of families who have lost their breadwinners to develop their capabilities around livelihood projects and provide them with small income-generating projects and provide the requirements for its establishment.
The distribution event was attended by the Director of the Coordination Unit for the Work of the Hadhramaut Office Branch of King Salman Center (KSRelief), Mr. Abdulaziz Bawazir
And the Head of Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works (YDH), Mr. Ahmed Al-Akwa.
