King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed today, Saturday, 6 tons of emergency food baskets to the residents of Mayun Island as the second distribution batch, within the second phase of the Emergency Food Interventions Project in the Republic of Yemen, implemented through the implementing partner Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Work (YDH).
A total of 200 targeted households on the island benefited from this assistance. These interventions aim to support the most vulnerable families and alleviate their suffering caused by the ongoing humanitarian crisis, particularly in remote and island areas.
Sheikh Abdo Anees, representative of Mayun Island, praised the continuous humanitarian and relief support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief to the Yemeni people across various governorates, affirming that this support contributes effectively to meeting the essential needs of the island’s residents.
