The Board of Directors of the Arab Union for Volunteering has approved the membership of the Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Work – Yemen, alongside Masarat Foundation for Education and Sustainable Empowerment – Syria, and the Sudan Youth Union.
This came during a virtual meeting held today to discuss a number of topics related to strengthening the Union’s role in supporting the volunteer sector in Arab countries and promoting the principles of community participation and sustainable development.
The Union stated that the acceptance of the three organizations’ membership comes within the framework of its institutional expansion, which enhances its regional presence and opens wider opportunities for effective partnerships with official and civil entities. It also supports joint volunteer initiatives and contributes to strengthening the Union’s capacities and enhancing the exchange of expertise between volunteer organizations across the Arab world, thereby supporting the progress of joint humanitarian efforts.
The Arab Union for Volunteering is an international non-governmental organization registered in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It brings together Arab volunteer initiatives and began its activities in 2015.
