Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works ( YDH ):
YDH is working all Over Yemen since 2013, with license No (216), in both Emergency Relief and Development including Education, Health Child protection, Food, and WASH funded by various donors. In close coordination with its partners, YDH is implementing a new response to the needs of developing local capacities to literacy and Special Education Project, in Aden, Abyan and Hadhramaut
Job Purpose:
YDH is seeking a dynamic Safety and Security Responsible to be responsible for the safety and security of YDH personnel, property, and premises. He/ she will be in charged for putting in place appropriate security plans and maintain these security plan updated, considering the security situation in the country in general and where the services are being provided in particular; Assume all risks and liabilities related to YDH’s security and the full implementation of the security plan.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee YDH personnel in terms of their implementation risks and observance of security procedures, and advising personnel on issues connected with secure and safe conduct in the area of operation ;
- Manage the weekly travel plan and ensure that all teams travelling have the appropriate equipment, permission as required
- Ensure that safety and security equipment in YDH premises is well maintained and functional, including First aid Kits and Fire Extinguishers; to maintain communications equipment and ensure that all communication systems are functioning including, internet, mobile phones etc.
- Monitor and analyze threats and assess the risks in all areas of operation;
- Support conducting risk assessments in all areas of operation;
- Ensure Incident Reporting and maintain tools for Security Incident Information Management, ensuring Incident Reports are submitted on time, incidents are tracked and analysed, and lessons learned are documented.
- Submit report to YDH executive director including Morning Sitreps, Weekly and Monthly Reports, etc., Work with YDH team to deliver immediate Flash Reports when an incident occurs that impacts or is likely to impact YDH programming/operations in Aden, Abyan and Hadramaut.
- provide security briefings (personal security and context) as part of the on-boarding for new YDH staff, donor visitors or third party delegated by donor in the area of operation.
Qualification Experience and Skills:
- Degree in business administration or related field preferred
- At least 1 years as Safety and Security Assistant with INGO
- Analytical skills, foresight and the ability to identify solutions;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Knowledge of, and ability to create plans and procedures;
- Risk assessment skills;
- Coaching skills regarding running trainings and briefings;
- Arabic and English (both written and speaking
- Computer literate
DESIRABLE
- Experience with recognized NGO will be an added advantage.
