Job Title: Financial Accountant

Yamany Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Works ( YDH ):
YDH is working all Over Yemen since 2013, with license No (216), in both Emergency Relief and Development including Education, Health Child protection, Food, and WASH funded by various donors. In close coordination with its partners, YDH is implementing a new response to the needs of developing local capacities to literacy and Special Education Project, in Aden, Abyan and Hadhramaut.
Job Purpose:
Under the supervision of YDH Aden executive manager, the Financial Accountant will be responsible to do the financial processes related to response to: The needs of developing local capacities to literacy and Special Education Project. He/she will track financial issues from the initial to final stages to ensure that all financial transaction are in line with YDH financial policy and the donor requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial records and monitor systems for reconciliation of expenditures, balances, payments, statements, and other day-to-day transactions and reports.
- Review financial transactions recorded, ensure they are accurately recorded and in timely manner.
- Maintain and monitor the staff advances and ensure they are acquitted in a timely manner.
- Prepare and finalize the financial monthly report with average exchange rate calculation, bank and cash reconciliation
- Make sure from all Intermediate accounts such as (prepaid, bank& cash in transit) are zero or load with the month expenses by end of the month.
- Prepare the monthly cash report and cash reconciliation with exchange rate.
- Work closely with internal audits for document verification.
- Ensure all finance documents/payments are properly and timely scanned and uploaded in YDH one drive as required.
- Ensure all finance documents/payments (soft and hard copies) are archived in an orderly manner, kept securely, and easily retrievable.
- In close coordination with the executive manager, Oversee financial transactions with contractors
- Fulfill other duties, as assigned by line manager .
Qualification Experience and Skills:
Education:
- Degree in accounting / finance/ economics or related field preferred.
- Preferably, Bachelor\’s degree supported with sufficient work experience
Work Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience in relevant position.
- Minimum 1 year experience working with INGO or NGO
Languages: Very good command of English and Arabic.
